Celebrate the Stars of Financial Planning

Join your financial planning colleagues in a celebration of excellence in our profession. On Friday, October 10, 2008, we will be recognizing the outstanding achievements of an individual and a company that have made a significant contribution to promote the profession of financial planning throughout our state and within the FPA of Puget Sound. We will also honor those who have received their CFP ® during the 2008 year.
Following are the award categories, judging criteria, and the nomination procedures. We encourage you to nominate the superstars whom you’ve encountered through FPA of Puget Sound.
FPA Professional Service Award
2007 Recipient-Alfred Lee, Ph,D, CFP ®, ChFC
This award recognizes an FPA of Puget Sound member who has made a significant contribution to the financial planning profession. Nominees must be a current FPA of Puget Sound member and may not be the presiding FPA of Puget Sound President or a member of the Selection Committee.
Rainier Award
2007 Recipient- Junior Achievement
This award recognized an organization or corporation who has made a significant contribution to the financial planning profession. This honored award is selected by the FPA of Puget Sound Board of Directors.
CFP® Recognition
FPA of Puget Sound will recognize those individuals who have been authorized to use the CFP® certification in the year 2007. This is a distinctive mark requiring rigorous professional standards. Individuals who have received this certification accept the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence when dealing with clients. Please let us know if you have received this distinguished award this year or know of someone who has.
FPA of Puget Sound Volunteers
FPA of Puget Sound will recognize those members who have given of their time and talent to make a contribution in the financial planning profession. Volunteers will be recognized for serving on the Seattle Times Hotline, Seattle Times Makeover Articles, Junior Achievement, Pro Bono efforts and other volunteer opportunities.
