Presentation Title: Preparing Your Portfolio for a Global Disinflationary Boom

The key topics Chris will focus on are:

Biography: Chris serves as Director of International Portfolio Management with more than 17 years’ experience as an equity sector analyst, portfolio manager, and portfolio risk manager across domestic, developed international, and emerging international markets. In addition, he serves on the firm’s Operating Committee and Steering Group.

Chris has been with RiverFront since the company’s founding in 2008. He began his career in 2000 as a corporate finance analyst in the Technology sector at a predecessor to Wachovia Securities. He joined Wachovia’s Advisory Services Group in 2002 as an equity strategist and portfolio manager and worked in various capacities within equity strategy and portfolio management until his departure in 2008.

Chris earned his BS in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Chris received his CFA designation in 2013 and is a member of CFA Virginia Society. He has successfully completed the FINRA Series 7, 66, 86 and 87 licensing exams. Chris is also a regular guest on the financial news channels (CNBC, Bloomberg) and is frequently quoted in the financial press.

The Art: It’s no wonder that Chris’ co-workers are always humming familiar tunes. In his spare time, Chris is an accomplished songwriter whose songs have been featured in television, movies, and radio across the U.S. and overseas. His music counts fans across various demographics, but none more energetic than his two young children.

Presentation Title: Washington 529 College Savings Plans - Information and Updates for the Coming Year

Jackie will provide an overview of the GET Program. How it works and how families benefit from the plan. And review the status of the new 529 savings plan that will open in early 2018.

Biography: Jackie Ferrado is the Community Relations Manager for the Guaranteed Education Tuition (GET) Program, Washington’s 529 prepaid college tuition plan. She has represented the program and its parent agency, the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC), for over 17 years presenting information, developing partnerships, and fostering community relationships to ensure families have resources and education to prepare for their children’s college future expenses.

Jackie is a committed public servant who has dedicated her career to connecting with others and making complex concepts more approachable and actionable for Washington residents. This passion has helped empower thousands of families to get ahead of college costs by starting their savings efforts early.

Jackie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Evergreen State College, where she studied Communications and Management. She is also a 2015 graduate of the Leadership Thurston County, a program dedicated to developing informed, skilled and committed community leadership representative of the area’s diverse citizens.

Presentation Title: WA Economic Forecast

Steve will be giving a presentation on the current health and conditions of the WA State economy, his presentation will be timely given the latest numbers of the department's analysis come out shortly beforehand. Steve's presentation will include all aspects of the economics in WA that can then be shared with clients.

Biography: Stephen Lerch is the executive director of the Washington State Economic and Revenue Forecast Council. Previously, he has worked as an economist and researcher on public finance and health care issues in government (U.S. Congress, Joint Committee on Taxation; Washington State Department of Revenue) and the private sector (HCIA-Sachs/Solucient).

He has also previously served as an interim director for the Economic and Revenue Forecast Council. Steve most recently, he held the position of Research Director at the Washington State Investment Board.

He has a Ph.D. in economics from Johns Hopkins University.
