Private Lending Investing in the Puget Sound

Overview:

We will be presenting on private lending including how builders and developers use private sources of funding in lieu of bank financing. In addition we will give an overview of Legacy Group Capital and our unique insight to the real estate opportunities in the Puget Sound. We will conclude with an overview of our new real estate fund and how we see the current financial markets impacting it.

  • Objective is to illustrate the current private lending market and why it offers compelling alternative access to both borrowers and investors alike.

Speaker Bio:

Drew Nichol launched his career as a sales professional 30 years ago in the music industry, where he quickly excelled. Ignited by his success, he chose to enter into the mortgage banking industry where he quickly become one of Legacy Group Mortgage's biggest producer. Today Drew lends, invests and trains on behalf of Legacy Group Capital. With his diverse background in private lending, enthusiasm for teaching others on how to benefit from the private lending echo-system and genuine desire to help others, Drew will help illustrate why this type of lending and investing has its place in your practice.

Overview:

Discussion around today's bond market and what the future holds. Investors have been concerned with performance of what is typically the ballast to their portfolios. Does that mean that they should abandon ship and look for alternatives or stay buckled in?

  • The impact of credit markets and the dynamics in a Fed tightening cycle
  • Clear definition of the Fed's dual mandate of full employment and stable prices - what stable prices mean in today's inflationary environment.

Speaker Bio:

Kent McGlincy is a Client Portfolio Manager for the Invesco Managed Accounts team. In this role, he is focused on separately managed account strategies. He also helps financial representatives establish a proper foundation for their clients by providing guidance on their bond allocations.

Mr. McGlincy joined Invesco in 2019. Prior to his current role, he managed direct client relationships as a market leader for the Personal Investing division. During this time, he tripled the assets under care with the personal investing division and managed over 500 high-net-worth, non-profit and business relationships. Mr. McGlincy earned a bachelor's degree in economics from St. Lawrence University and an MBA for the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society. Additionally, Mr. McGlincy sits on the board of directors for Wish of a Lifetime from AARP, whose mission is to shift the way society views and values our oldest generations by sharing the inspirational stories of older adults.
